Veteran Japanese outfit's first vinyl release repressed for the first time in 7 years. Originally pressed on DEVOUR & Wedge's label (9 shocks terror, h100's). A classic Japanese Burning Spirit hardcore record, believed by most to be their best record ever. They have recently release a slew of new material including a great LP (soon to be repressed on Partners in Crime label) and 4 7"s as well as doing a small US tour in the summer of 03.

Short, Fast, and Loud
If you've been reading all the massive amount of praise heaped upon DSB over the last few years, heard their newer releases and wondered what all the buzz was about, luckily for you, Deranged have re-released their amazing 1996 ep. All you have to do now is find the Wings Continue To Strive LP on Bloodsucker to understand why people think DSB are so awesome (yup, their newer stuff is something of a let down in comparison to the adrenalin rush of their earlier works).

This is classic, energetic, Burning Spirits hardcore, a style which, for some reason, whenever bands from outside of Japan try to recreate, they fall flat on their faces and sound fucking weak.

The songs fly by at a tremendous rate, which is particularly surprising as within the songs themselves there is very little variation once they get going and the drummer, though by no means untalented, has a distinctly "one beat fits all" approach to playing. Most bands with this little variation suck, DSB make it work very well for them.

Fuck yeah! I have nothing but good memories of DSB's quick visit to the West Coast. And yes it is true that they are coming back in November to hit up the East Coast. So it seems only fitting that Deranged would reissue their first EP that originally came out back in 1996. You know the drill. Killer, fist-pumping Japanese punk that charges unbelievably hard till the very last note is struck. Adrenaline building intros, pounding drums, buzzing guitars, howling vocals... it is giving me goose bumps just sitting here listneing to it. A fucking classic for sure!
