Left for Dead
live 12" (DY76) In May of 2004, the original LEFT FOR DEAD line (comprised of Jeff Beckman(CHOKEHOLD, HAYMAKER), Chris Colohan (CURSED, RUINATION), Christian McMaster (HAYMAKER, CURSED), Josh and Matt) put their differences aside and did two re-union shows to raise funds for RABIDOGfilms.com. The first show was in downtown Toronto in an extremely small venue and actually served more as a practice. The second show was in Hamilton on May 8th, 2004 and with people driving and flying in from as far as California and England, there were approximately 400 fans in attendance. In order to capture one hell of an evening, I hired Radwan (CURSED) and we rented some fancy equipment to recorded the LFD set live to board. The recording came out fantastic – loud, clear and all around solid. LEFT FOR DEAD played pissed off hardcore, I guess musically they sound like the sum of its parts - HAYMAKER with Chris Colohan on vocals. Keep in mind that very very few bands were playing this type of hardcore in the mid 90's, it was mostly emo days. Now even though LFD only played a handful of shows, they managed to sell a LOT of records (over 10,000 copies) which speaks for its music - top notch hardcore.
